# Number: Greater than

> Checks that a number is greater than the given value.

Checks whether the incoming number is greater than the value you set here. The check only succeeds when the incoming value is strictly larger, so a value exactly equal to the one you set does not match. Use this to act only on amounts above a threshold, for example shipping an order only when its quantity is more than 100. If you want the threshold itself to count as a match, use [Number: Greater than or equals](/references/condition/number-greater-than-or-equals) instead.

This documentation describes: [Schema](/schemas/condition/number-greater-than)

## Fields

**Value**

Required

The number the incoming value is compared against. The check passes when the incoming value is greater than this number. The threshold value itself does not match; only values strictly above it do.

## Sample data

This compares each entity's `quantity` field against the number `100`.

| Field | Value |
| - | - |
| Value | `100` |

| Incoming value | Result |
| - | - |
| `99` | Does not match |
| `100` | Does not match |
| `101` | Matches |
